Day 2: Drove 50 miles, took 7 deliveries, made $39 in tips. Pretty good average and everything went smoothly, no apts!
Day 3: I was called in to work today because of the big game. I debated with myself about going in or not and decided to make some dough (pun?).
So I went in to work at 5 expecting things to be super busy. Guess what. There's 4 drivers making boxes, not a good sign. I took 1 delivery in the first hour and got a $4 tip. Came back and made more boxes while waiting for more deliveries. Took another delivery about 20 minutes later, the bill was $16.20 and he gave me $20. Pretty good. Back to the restaurant.
Finally we're getting busy. This time I get to take a double. The first bill was $42 and he gave me $4, not bad. Next house, the bill is $31. There's 3 kids at the door and they run to tell their dad the pizza's here. I give the pizzas to their mom and she said she has no cash on her. The dad for some reason doesn't want to come out of his room, so I'm standing here at the door waiting. The kid comes up and hands me a $100. I told him I don't have change for this, do you have anything smaller? The kid runs back upstairs and says he needs something smaller. The dad, sounding a little annoyed, tells the kid just tell him to take it. The kid comes back downstairs and hands me the $100 and says "Keep It". I responded, "You sure?" "Yep." "You totally sure?" "Yep." So I took it. $69 tip.... I'm so happy I worked tonight!
I took 2 more deliveries after that and made another $9.
All in all I drove 50 miles and walked away with $99. I'd say pretty good for 3 hours...
